CTU with Hydro Jet

This technology offers perforation and stimulation treatment (acid or proppant fracturing) of different type of completed wells including open hole, cased hole or slotted liner. The technique employs a hydraulic jetting assembly on coiled tubing (CT) to perforate the casing and immediately followed by pumping a fracture stimulation treatment through the annulus between CT and casing. One of the primary aspects of this new process is that it does not require the use of packers or bridge plugs for isolation between frac stages and therefore can be used in a wide range of casing sizes and configurations.

Hydro jet perforations have been shown to produce excellent connectivity to created fractures through erosion of the casings, cement sheath and near wellbore rock. This helps ensure maximum fracture entry width at the perforations and easier placement of larger proppant and higher concentration of proppant. Another advantage of this technique is to monitor pressure condition at the perforations in real time as the treatment progress by use of CT string. Immediate cleanup of the wellbore using CT can be considered a very important benefit as well.
