Top Select offers various new technologies to ensure high performance of fracturing treatment in carbonate and sandstone reservoirs. We can offer multistage fracturing design, engineering, downhole completion tools, operation and supervision as a package for the peace of our client mind. Top Select stimulation team has successfully experienced acid fracturing and proppant fracturing with each of these new technologies at a broad range of reservoirs with different conditions. The four technologies to compartmentalize the formation to conduct multistage fracturing are given below:
Packer & Frac Sleeve
Top Select multistage packer and frac sleeve system is a hydraulic set of isolation packer designed to be run and set in open hole or cased hole, horizontal or vertical wellbores. This packer provides highly efficient, zonal isolation in pay zone. Hydraulically set mechanical open hole packers use rubber pack off elements that are compressed when set to form a seal between the completion and the open hole or cased hole. The setting mechanism of this packer is characterized by a dynamic setting mode, which uses the frac surface pumping pressure to continuously adjust the pack off force on each element to maintain the seal. To create fractures, different size of balls can send to open the ball activated sleeves and finalized stages of fracturing in a short time.
While wells trajectory and reservoir characteristics are important determinants of wells productivity, completion design also plays a significant role in long-term stabilized production and reservoir draining efficiency. Hydraulic and acid fracturing are required to increase oil and gas recovery. However, thick pay zone in either vertical or horizontal wells (particularly in middle east region) can make fracturing treatment ineffective if fracturing fluid is injected into the entire pay zone at once. This results in having short fractures created at only higher permeable depth not being the aim of fracturing treatment design. Effective wellbore compartmentalization by means of mechanical tools and new technologies — especially in low and nonuniform permeability reservoirs — is key to successfully create high conductive fractures in pay zone causing better productivity index of the wells.
