Rotating Liner Hanger

Rotating liner is the most efficient method for liner running and to improve cementing quality. If the top drive is not provided, rotating liner while cementing requires both a rotatable liner hanger and necessary surface tools. Good primary liner cementing minimizes problems in production and stimulations and reduces cost. Liner rotation while cementing has improved the cement jobs and reduced the remedial cement work.

Advantages

Rotating LH can avoid cementing channeling. Channeling always exists in the cementing job, but rotating LH job can sufficient mix the slurry and mud. Also, low side mud always static and get gelatinizing. Rotating LH can bring out the low side gelatinizing mud mechanically
Dynamic conditions can improve Casing string standoff (rotation & revolution)
Rotating LH can improve blend slurry and mud so that the mixture of the fluids can get the same speed. And after cement bonding, the mixture bond sealing capacity is much better than pure mud
